On Thursday, May 1, 2008, the South West Conference honored the following students (listed below) with its annual Leadership Award. The Leadership award dinner will be held at the Stone Barn, Whitney Farms Golf Course in Monroe. In addition to honoring these students, the following people who will be ending their service to the South West Conference were honored.
Rose Marie Cipriano, Principal, Weston High School and President of the Conference – Retiring
Pamela Goodpaster, Athletic Director, Joel Barlow High School, chairperson of a number of our sports committees, currently in charge of Boys Lacrosse – Retiring
Alicia Roy, Principal, New Fairfield High School – moving to a new position as Asssistant Superintendent in New Fairfield.
James Agostine, former Principal, Pomperaug High School and long time chairman of the Athletic Executive Board – moved to a new position as Superintendent of Schools in Region #16.
